Before we start to consider whether you personally are transexual, shemale or transvestite, by scoring your answers to a series of twelve questions, we ought to start by establishing the true definitions.
'Transvestism' is characterised by a desire to wear the clothing of the opposite gender. The word comes from the Latin, Trans meaning cross, and vesta meaning clothing, thus to cross dress.
'Shemales' are men who take female hormones, grow breasts and develop the body of a woman but stop short of surgery, wishing to retain their male genitals for sexual activity.
On the other hand, the word 'Transexual' literally translated means to cross between the sexes, the emphasis being to literally become a member of the opposite gender.
Many people are confused about their sexuality or have gender related problems, so please don't feel embarrassed and do please answer these questions honestly.
Although this analysis cannot be a substitute for clinical diagnosis, we are sure you will find this exercise fascinating and informative.
